केन्द्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा कि कर्नाटक के बेंगलुरु में 2 एकड़ भूमि पर 60 करोड़ रूपए की लागत से 150 बिस्तरों वाले मल्टीस्पेश्यलिटी श्री विश्वेशतीर्थ मेमोरियल अस्पताल का लोकार्पण हुआ है। उन्होंने कहा कि गरीबों और समाज के निचले तबके के लोगों के लिए मुफ्त इलाज का ये आधुनिक केन्द्र वर्षों तक लोगों की सेवा करेगा।
उन्होंने कहा कि इस अस्पताल में 60 प्रतिशत बिस्तर गरीबों के लिए आरक्षित रखे गए हैं और इस केन्द्र को कई अत्याधुनिक सेवाओं से युक्त किया गया है। श्री शाह ने कहा कि श्री कृष्ण सेवाश्रम ट्रस्ट हमेशा से समाज के गरीब और वंचित लोगों की सेवा के लिए काम करता रहा है।
उन्होंने कहा कि इस ट्रस्ट की स्थापना श्रद्धेय श्री विश्वेशतीर्थ स्वामी जी ने की और आज उनके उत्तराधिकारी श्री विश्वप्रसन्नतीर्थ स्वामी जी इस परंपरा को आगे बढ़ा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि यहां श्री कृष्ण मेडिकल सेंटर, श्रीकृष्ण नेत्रालय, दंतालय, श्री विश्वप्रसन्नतीर्थ मेमोरियल क्लीनिक स्थापित किए गए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि बेंगलुरु में सभी गरीबों के लिए इससे अच्छा उपचार का केन्द्र कोई नहीं हो सकता।

अमित शाह ने कहा कि श्री विश्वेशतीर्थ स्वामी जी जैसा संत मिलना आज के समय में बेहद कठिन है। उन्होंने कहा कि स्वामी जी हमेशा समाज, धर्म और संप्रदाय के लिए ही जिए और उन्होंने 8 वर्ष की आयु में सन्यास लेकर अपना आठ दशक का जीवन आध्यात्म को समर्पित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि न सिर्फ हिंदू धर्म बल्कि समाज और राष्ट्र की सेवा में भी स्वामी जी हमेशा प्रथम पंक्ति में रहे। श्री शाह ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी ने 2020 में स्वामी जी को पद्म विभूषण दिया।

शाह ने कहा कि स्वामी जी ने धर्म की शिक्षा को आधुनिक शिक्षा के साथ जोड़ने का काम किया। उन्होंने कहा कि आज उनकी परंपरा आगे बढ़ रही है और उडुपी मठ से देश को बहुत अपेक्षा है। उन्होंने कहा कि राममंदिर में भगवान राम की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा की सभी धार्मिक क्रियाओं में पेजावर मठ का बहुत प्रमुख योगदान रहा। उन्होंने कहा कि 2014 में जब श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी देश के प्रधानमंत्री बने, तब जिन संतों ने दिल्ली जाकर प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी को आशीर्वाद दिया था, उनमें स्वामी जी सबसे प्रमुख थे।
