मुख्य सचिव सुधांश पंत द्वारा सोमवार को शासन सचिवालय में गृह विभाग के अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव आनन्द कुमार व अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के साथ पुलिस विभाग, भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक ब्यूरो, कारागार, गृह रक्षा, अभियोजन तथा राज्य विधि विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला के विभागाध्यक्षों के विभागीय कार्यों की समीक्षा की गई।
समीक्षा बैठक के दौरान मुख्य सचिव ने निर्देश दिये कि राज्य में मादक पदार्थ, खनन माफिया, संगठित अपराध के विरूद्ध सघन निरोधात्मक कार्यवाही की जाये। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार महिला अत्याचार के प्रति अति संवेदनशील है।
महिलाओं के साथ किसी भी तरह की घटना होने पर उसकी त्वरित जांच कर अपराधी को सजा दिलवाना सुनिश्चित किया जाये। इसके लिए सभी कार्मिकों तथा कम्युनिटी पुलिसिंग को भी क्रियाशील किया जाये जिससे अपराधियों में भय व आमजन में विश्वास हो।
मुख्य सचिव पंत ने निर्देश दिये कि अपराधियों को सजा दिलवाने हेतु राज्य विधि विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला द्वारा त्वरित सेंपल परीक्षण किये जायें। जेलों में नवीनतम तकनीकों का अध्ययन कर जैमर/टावर लगवाये जाये ताकि जेल से अपराधियों द्वारा बाहर सम्पर्क नहीं किया जा सके।
बैठक में रश्मि गुप्ता, यू.आर. साहू, महानिदेशक पुलिस, राजेश निर्वाण, महानिदेशक, गृह रक्षा व कारागार, रवि प्रकाश मेहरड़ा, महानिदेशक, एसीबी, रवि शर्मा, निदेशक, अभियोजन, अजय शर्मा, निदेशक, एफएसएल व अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों द्वारा भाग लिया गया।
