इस नई किस्म में प्रोटीन की मात्रा व पाचन शीलता अधिक होने के कारण ये पशुओं के लिए बहुत उत्तम हैं। एचएफओ 906 किस्म की हरे चारे की औसत पैदावार 655.1 क्विंटल व सूखे चारे की औसत पैदावार 124.4 क्विंटल प्रति हेक्टेयर है।
इसकी बीज की औसत पैदावार 27.4 क्विंटल प्रति हेक्टेयर है जबकि क्रूड प्रोटीन की पैदावार 11.4 क्विंटल प्रति हेक्टेयर है। इस किस्म के चारे में प्रोटीन की मात्रा 10 प्रतिशत है जिसके कारण इसके चारे की गुणवत्ता पशुओं के लिए अधिक लाभदायक है।
