उत्तराखंड में वनाग्नि थमने का नाम नहीं ले रही है। वनाग्नि से वन संपदा को तो नुकसान हो रहा है पर अब आग आवासीय मकानो में पहुँच रही हैं। इस वर्ष इन्द्र देवता भी नाराज चल रहे है जिससे शासन प्रशासन की परेशानियाँ फिर से बढ गयी है।
जंगलो में आग लिये अभिशाप वना चीड के पेड़ की पत्तियाँ पिरुल बिना वर्षा के कारण सुखकर तेजी से गिर रहा हैं जिससे आगजनी की घटना की संभावना बढ रही है धूप की तपिश में वनकर्मियो को आग से काबू पाने के लिए पसीना बहाना पड रहा है।
ऐंसी ही आगजनी की घटना देखने को मिली विकास खंड दुगड्डा पौड़ी गढवाल के भेल्डा बडा के सिसोल गांव के सिविल वन क्षेत्र में किसी असामाजिक तत्व द्वारा आग लगाई गयी जिस कारण एक आवासीय मकान आग की चपेट में आ गया।
रात्रि को वनाग्नि की सूचना पर वनक्षेत्र अधिकारी मटियाली / जयहरीखाल विशन दत्त जोशी तत्काल वनकर्मियो के साथ घटनास्थल पर पहुँचें और कडी मशक्कत के बाद आग पर काबू पाया। गाँव के अन्य आवासीय भवन आग के जद में न आये वन कर्मियो ने बत्ता काटकर आग को नियन्त्रण किया और बडी अनहोनी की आशंका से आवासीय संपदा को बचाया। वन विभाग के साथ ग्रामीणो ने भी आग को बुझाने में अपना सहयोग दिया। ग्रामीणो के इस सहयोग पर वनक्षैत्र अधिकारी ने आभार व्यक्त किया।
वनाग्नि शमन टीम में वन दरोगा हरक सिंह दानू, रमेश गुसाँई, चन्डी प्रसाद, वन आरक्षी सीमा नेगी, सौरभ, जगदीश धूलिया, भारत सिह, भरत सिह, नरेश सिह ,रवीन्द्र सिह राखी देवी सहित ग्रामीण उपस्थित रहे।
