लोकसभा आम चुनाव-2024 के क्रम में 16 मार्च से 20 अप्रैल के बीच राजस्थान में अलग-अलग निगरानी एवं सतर्कता एजेंसियों ने 784 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य से अधिक की अवैध शराब, नशीली दवाएं, नकद राशि आदि जब्त की है. भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के चुनाव को धन-बल, नशे तथा मुफ्त वस्तुओं के प्रलोभन के जरिए प्रभावित होने से रोकने के उद्देश्य के क्रम में अवैध वस्तुओं के परिवहन और भण्डारण पर यह धरपकड़ की जा रही है. इस अवधि में सर्वाधिक 37 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की जब्ती चूरू जिले में हुई है।
मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी प्रवीण गुप्ता ने बताया कि प्रदेश में आदर्श आचार संहिता के प्रभावी होने के बाद से 784.73 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य की अवैध नकद राशि, नशीली दवाएं (ड्रग्स), शराब, कीमती धातुएं तथा मुफ्त वितरण की जाने वाली वस्तुओं (फ्रीबीज) आदि की जब्ती की गई है. इस अवधि में अलग-अलग एनफोर्समेंट एजेंसियों ने 7 जिलों में 30 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य की वस्तुएं पकड़ी हैं. अब तक सर्वाधिक जब्तियां चूरू जिले में हुई हैं, जिनमें 37.06 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य की वस्तुएं शामिल हैं।
गुप्ता के अनुसार, 16 मार्च से 20 अप्रैल तक पाली, डूंगरपुर, दौसा, उदयपुर, झुंझुनू और गंगानगर जिलों में विभिन्न स्थानों पर क्रमश: 36.48 करोड़ रुपये, 36.35 करोड़ रुपये, 34.03 करोड़ रुपये, 33.41 करोड़ रुपये, 30.17 करोड़ रुपये और 30.02 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य की अवैध वस्तुएं अथवा नकद राशि जब्त हुई हैं. इस क्रम में, भीलवाड़ा, बाड़मेर, जयपुर, जोधपुर, चित्तौड़गढ़, बीकानेर, अलवर, बांसवाड़ा, नागौर, हनुमानगढ़, टोंक, प्रतापगढ़ और राजसमन्द जिलों में भी 20-20 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य की वस्तुएं जब्त की गई हैं।
मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि पकड़ी गई सामग्री में 38.23 करोड़ रुपये की अवैध नकद राशि के साथ ही 83.37 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य की नशीली दवाएं, 37.73 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक कीमत की अवैध शराब शामिल है. साथ ही, लगभग 42.82 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य की सोना-चांदी आदि कीमती धातुएं, लगभग 582 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य की अन्य सामग्री तथा 74 लाख रुपये से अधिक कीमत की मुफ्त वितरण की वस्तुएं (फ्रीबीज) भी जब्त की गई हैं।
