सोमवार को राजधानी में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ एक अहम फैसले में दिल्ली की विशेष अदालत ने एक व्यक्ति को रिश्वत लेने के मामले में तीन साल के कठोर कारावास की सजा सुनाई। आरोपी को शिकायतकर्ता से ₹24,000 की रिश्वत मांगने और उसे स्वीकार करने का दोषी पाया गया।
यह मामला सेंट्रल ब्यूरो ऑफ़ इन्वेस्टीगेशन (सीबीआई) द्वारा दर्ज किया गया था। शिकायत मिलने के बाद एजेंसी ने सत्यापन किया और फिर एक सुनियोजित ट्रैप ऑपरेशन चलाया। इस दौरान आरोपी को रिश्वत लेते हुए रंगे हाथों पकड़ लिया गया।
सीबीआई ने जांच के दौरान रिश्वत की रकम बरामद की और अन्य तकनीकी व मौखिक साक्ष्य जुटाए। इसके बाद आरोपी के खिलाफ चार्जशीट दाखिल की गई, जिस पर विशेष अदालत में सुनवाई हुई।
सुनवाई के दौरान अदालत ने पाया कि अभियोजन पक्ष ने रिश्वत की मांग, स्वीकार और बरामदगी—तीनों पहलुओं को सफलतापूर्वक साबित किया। बचाव पक्ष आरोपी को राहत दिलाने में असफल रहा।
अदालत ने अपने फैसले में कहा कि भ्रष्टाचार न केवल प्रशासनिक तंत्र को कमजोर करता है, बल्कि आम जनता के विश्वास को भी नुकसान पहुंचाता है। इसलिए ऐसे अपराधों में सख्त सजा देना आवश्यक है।
सजा के तहत आरोपी को तीन साल के कठोर कारावास के साथ ₹50,000 का जुर्माना भी लगाया गया है। जुर्माना अदा न करने की स्थिति में अतिरिक्त सजा का भी प्रावधान रखा गया है।
कानूनी विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार, यह फैसला भ्रष्टाचार के मामलों में एक मजबूत संदेश देता है और भविष्य में ऐसे अपराधों पर अंकुश लगाने में मददगार साबित हो सकता है।
