प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी चंडीगढ़ में तीन नए अपराधिक कानूनों के कार्यान्वयन की प्रगति से राष्ट्र को अवगत कराएंगे। ये कानून हैं- भारतीय न्याय संहिता, भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता और भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम। इस वर्ष पहली जुलाई से देशभर में लागू किए गए, इन कानूनों का उद्देश्य विधि प्रणाली को अधिक पारदर्शी, कुशल और समकालीन समाज की जरूरतों के अनुकूल बनाना है।
कार्यक्रम का विषय है – सजा से न्याय के परिप्रेक्ष्य में सुरक्षित और विकसित भारत। कार्यक्रम के दौरान नए कानूनों के व्यावहारिक पहलुओं पर प्रकाश डाला जाएगा। इसमें यह स्पष्ट किया जाएगा कि इन कानूनों से आपराधिक न्याय परिदृश्य में क्या बदलाव आए हैं।
