लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए नामांकन दाखिल करने के दौरान कर्नाटक के बागी भाजपा नेता और पूर्व उपमुख्यमंत्री केएस ईश्वरप्पा ने शुक्रवार को शिवमोगा से निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार के रूप में अपना नामांकन दाखिल किया। यहां से भाजपा ने कर्नाटक के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री पार्टी के दिग्गज नेता और संसदीय बोर्ड के सदस्य बीएस येदुरप्पा के बेटे बीवाई राघवेंद्र को टिकट दिया है। शिवमोगा में 7 मई को मतदान डाले जाएंगे।
कलबुर्गी में कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे के दामाद राधाकृष्ण डोड्डामणि ने भी अपना पर्चा दाखिल किया। उनके साथ उपमुख्यमंत्री और राज्य कांग्रेस के प्रमुख डी के शिवकुमार भी मौजूद रहे।
बता दें कि भाजपा के नेताओं ने केएस ईश्वरप्पा से शिवमोगा से चुनाव नहीं लड़ने की अपील की थी, लेकिन वह अपने फैसले पर कायम रहे। बताया जा रहा है कि कर्नाटक भाजपा के अध्यक्ष रह चुके ईश्वरप्पा अपने बेटे केई कंथेश को हावेरी से टिकट नहीं दिए जाने को लेकर नाराज हैं।
ईश्वरप्पा ने आरोप लगाते हुए कहा है कि येदियुरप्पा ने कंथेश को टिकट दिलवाने का वादा किया था लेकिन उन्हें धोखा दिया गया है। दरअसल, पार्टी की राज्य इकाई के खिलाफ विद्रोह का झंडा बुलंद करने वाले पूर्व अध्यक्ष ईश्वरप्पा ने लिंगायत नेता येदियुरप्पा पर बार-बार हमला करते हुए कहा है कि राज्य में भाजपा उनके परिवार के कब्जे में है।
कर्नाटक में दो चरणों में चुनाव हो रहे हैं। पहले चरण में राज्य के दक्षिणी हिस्सों में 14 लोकसभा क्षेत्रों में 26 अप्रैल को मतदान होगा, उत्तरी हिस्सों दूसरे चरण में बाकी बची 14 लोकसभा सीटों पर 7 मई को मतदान होगा।
