पूर्वी बेड़े के फ्लैग ऑफिसर कमांडिंग रियर एडमिरल राजेश धनखड़ के नेतृत्व में भारतीय नौसेना के जहाज दिल्ली, शक्ति और किल्टन 06 मई 2024 को सिंगापुर पहुंचे, जहां सिंगापुर गणराज्य की नौसेना के कर्मियों और सिंगापुर में भारत के उच्चायुक्त ने उनका गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया।
इन तीनों जहाजों का सिंगापुर पहुंचना दक्षिण चीन सागर में भारतीय नौसेना के पूर्वी बेड़े की परिचालन तैनाती का हिस्सा है। भारत के इन जहाजों की इस यात्रा से कई कार्यक्रमों और गतिविधियों के माध्यम से दोनों समुद्री देशों के बीच दीर्घकालिक मित्रता और सहयोग को और मजबूती मिलेगी।
बंदरगाह में इन जहाजों के प्रवास के दौरान, विभिन्न गतिविधियों को शुरू करने की योजना बनाई गई है, जिसमें भारतीय उच्चायोग के साथ बातचीत, सिंगापुर की नौसेना के साथ पेशेवर बातचीत के साथ-साथ अकादमिक और सामुदायिक आउटरीच सहित अन्य गतिविधियां शामिल हैं, जो दोनों नौसेनाओं के साझा मूल्यों को दर्शाती हैं।
भारतीय नौसेना और सिंगापुर की नौसेना के बीच तीन दशकों के सहयोग, समन्वय और नियमित यात्राओं, सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं के आदान-प्रदान और पारस्परिक प्रशिक्षण व्यवस्थाओं के साथ मजबूत संबंध रहे हैं। वर्तमान तैनाती दोनों नौसेनाओं के बीच मजबूत संबंधों को दर्शाती है।
