बॉर्डर रोड्स ऑर्गनाइज़ेशन (BRO) ने 11 जुलाई 2026 की रात को अचानक आई बाढ़ में मौजूदा पुल के बह जाने के बाद 200 फ़ीट का बेली ब्रिज बनाकर कुरुंग कुमे ज़िले में हुरी से ज़रूरी कनेक्टिविटी सफलतापूर्वक ठीक कर ली है। इस घटना ने इलाके को पूरी तरह से अलग-थलग कर दिया था, जिससे लोगों की आवाजाही, ज़रूरी सामान और इमरजेंसी सेवाओं में रुकावट आई थी।
प्रोजेक्ट अरुणांक ने बहुत मुश्किल हालात में मिशन मोड पर ठीक करने का काम किया। 85 RCC/ 756 BRTF की BRO टीमों को लगातार भारी बारिश, तेज़ बहती नदी की धाराओं और मिट्टी की खराब हालत का सामना करना पड़ा, जिससे नींव के काम और अप्रोच रोड की तैयारी में रुकावट आई। दूर की जगह, रिसोर्स की कम मौजूदगी और नए लैंडस्लाइड के कारण बार-बार आने वाली रुकावटों ने ऑपरेशन को और मुश्किल बना दिया।
