गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने नई दिल्ली में केंद्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो द्वारा विकसित भारतपोल पोर्टल का शुभारंभ किया। भारतपोल पोर्टल का उद्देश्य इंटरपोल के माध्यम से अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहायता के लिए सभी अनुरोधों पर कार्रवाई को सुव्यवस्थित करना है, जिसमें रेड नोटिस और अन्य इंटरपोल नोटिस जारी करना शामिल है।
गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने इस अवसर पर अपने संबोधन में कहा कि भारतपोल अंतर्राष्ट्रीय जांच को नए युग में ले जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि अब जांच एजेंसियां आवश्यक जानकारी प्राप्त करने के लिए इंटरपोल से जुड़ सकेंगी। अमित शाह ने कहा कि इससे आतंकवाद से संबंधित अपराधों और मादक पदार्थों, हथियारों तथा मानव तस्करी से संबंधित मामलों से निपटने में सहायता मिलेगी।
इस अवसर पर अमित शाह ने 35 CBI अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों को पुलिस पदक प्रदान किए, जिन्हें विशिष्ट सेवा के लिए राष्ट्रपति के पुलिस पदक और जांच में उत्कृष्टता के लिए केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री के पदक से सम्मानित किया गया है।
भारतपोल पोर्टल कानून प्रवर्तन एजेंसियों को वास्तविक समय की जानकारी प्राप्त करने में महत्वपूर्ण सुविधा प्रदान करेगा। इस पोर्टल को साइबर, वित्तीय तथा संगठित अपराध ऑनलाइन कट्टरपंथ और मादक पदार्थों तथा मानव तस्करी सहित अंतरराष्ट्रीय अपराधों से निपटने के लिए विकसित किया गया है। यह पोर्टल सभी हितधारकों को एक साझा मंच पर लाएगा।
