मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू ने शिमला जिला के ठियोग विधानसभा क्षेत्र के नारकण्डा का दौरा किया और स्थानीय लोगों से भेंट कर जन समस्याएं सुनीं। उन्होंने क्षेत्र के विभिन्न प्रतिनिधिमण्डलों को आश्वस्त किया कि उनकी समस्याओं का समाधान सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य के इतिहास में पहली बार प्रदेश सरकार ने मण्डी मध्यस्थता योजना (एमआईएस) के तहत सेब उत्पादकों की सभी देनदारियों का भुगतान किया है। राज्य सरकार ने पिछली भाजपा सरकार की 90 करोड़ रुपये की देनदारी सहित सभी देनदारियों को निपटाने के लिए 153 करोड़ रुपये जारी किए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि किसानों और बागवानों को सेब कीटनाशकों और उर्वरकों इत्यादि पर मिलने वाली सब्सिडी को पिछली भाजपा सरकार ने बंद कर दिया था लेकिन वर्तमान राज्य सरकार ने इसे बहाल कर दिया है।
किसानों को अब गुणवत्तापूर्ण उत्पाद उपलब्ध हो रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस की राज्य सरकार ने सेब के समर्थन मूल्य में 1.50 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम की ऐतिहासिक वृद्धि की है, जिससे सेब का समर्थन मूल्य अब 12 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम हो गया है। गत वर्ष प्रदेश सरकार ने प्रति किलोग्राम के आधार पर सेब की बिक्री सुनिश्चित की थी तथा इस वर्ष यूनिवर्सल कार्टन प्रणाली लागू की जा रही है।
पत्रकारों से बातचीत करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि शिमला जिला के ऊपरी क्षेत्रों में पर्यटन की अपार संभावनाएं हैं और राज्य सरकार पर्यटन गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए हर सम्भव प्रयास कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार ने नारकण्डा में आइस स्केटिंग रिंक स्थापित करने के लिए 5 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए हैं और यहां एक बहुउद्देशीय खेल हॉल भी निर्मित किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए ढली से नारकंडा सड़क को फोर लेन राजमार्ग के रूप में स्तरोन्नत करने और सुरंगों की सुविधा प्रदान करने के लिए प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं।
इससे पहले, मुख्यमंत्री ने हाटू माता मंदिर में पूजा-अर्चना की और प्रदेश के लोगों की सुख-समृद्धि की कामना की। उन्होंने नारकण्डा परिधि में एक पौधा भी रोपित किया। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री की धर्मपत्नी कमलेश ठाकुर, विधायक कुलदीप राठौर, राज्य वन विकास निगम के उपाध्यक्ष केहर सिंह खाची, हिमाचल प्रदेश सहकारी बैंक के अध्यक्ष देवेन्द्र श्याम, पूर्व विधायक राकेश सिंघा, अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव ओंकार चंद शर्मा, उपायुक्त शिमला अनुपम कश्यप सहित अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित थे।
