मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने बैजनाथ भकुनखोला मैदान में आयोजित तीन दिवसीय कत्यूर महोत्सव का वर्चुअल रूप से शुभारंभ किया। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने गरुड़ में नगरीय पेयजल योजना को स्वीकृति प्रदान की। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इंटर कॉलेज गागरीगोल में विज्ञान वर्ग की मान्यता दी जाएगी और चक्रवर्तेश्वर मंदिर में घाट, सभाकक्ष निर्माण एवं सौंदर्यीकरण कराया जाएगा। के.डी. पांडेय रामलीला मैदान में टिनशेड का निर्माण किया जाएगा एवं कत्यूर महोत्सव के आयोजन हेतु ₹2 लाख की धनराशि प्रदान की जाएगी।
मुख्यमंत्री ने वर्चुअल संबोधन में कहा कि बैजनाथ की यह ऐतिहासिक भूमि 7वीं सदी में कत्यूर राजवंश की राजधानी रही है। कत्यूरी शासक अपनी समृद्ध कला, गौरवशाली संस्कृति, धार्मिक आस्था एवं न्यायप्रिय शासन प्रणाली के लिए विख्यात थे। उन्होंने यहाँ प्राचीन बैजनाथ मंदिर का निर्माण कराया, जो उत्तराखण्ड के साथ सम्पूर्ण भारतवर्ष में आस्था का प्रमुख केंद्र है। भगवान शिव को समर्पित यह धाम कत्यूरी शासनकाल की स्थापत्य कला का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कत्यूर महोत्सव के माध्यम से इस ऐतिहासिक क्षेत्र की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत को व्यापक पहचान दिलाने का सराहनीय प्रयास हो रहा है। इस प्रकार के आयोजन हमारी समृद्ध परंपराओं को संजोए रखते हुए उन्हें आने वाली पीढ़ियों तक पहुँचाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। हमारी लोकसंस्कृति ही हमारी असली पहचान है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व एवं मार्गदर्शन में राज्य सरकार उत्तराखण्ड के समग्र विकास के साथ-साथ धार्मिक स्थलों के पुनरुद्धार एवं सांस्कृतिक पहचान को सुरक्षित रखने हेतु संकल्पबद्ध होकर कार्य कर रही है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार केदारखण्ड की भांति मानसखण्ड में स्थित कुमाऊं के पौराणिक मंदिरों के पुनरुत्थान एवं सौंदर्यीकरण हेतु भी कार्य कर रही है। इसी क्रम में बैजनाथ धाम के साथ-साथ माँ कोट भ्रामरी मंदिर का भी विकास किया जा रहा है।
पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों से हो रहे पलायन को रोकने एवं स्थानीय अर्थव्यवस्था व पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने हेतु अनेक योजनाएँ क्रियान्वित की जा रही हैं। एक जनपद, दो उत्पाद योजना के माध्यम से स्थानीय आजीविका के अवसरों को बढ़ावा मिला है, जबकि हाउस ऑफ हिमालयाज ब्रांड ने हमारे उत्पादों को वैश्विक पहचान दिलाने का कार्य किया है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार ने हाल ही में बागेश्वर के लिए हेलीकॉप्टर सेवा की शुरुआत की है, जिससे इस क्षेत्र के पर्यटन और अर्थव्यवस्था को नई गति मिलेगी। बागेश्वर को रेल मार्ग से जोड़ने का सपना कई पीढ़ियों से अधूरा था, लेकिन हमारी डबल इंजन सरकार के प्रयासों से इस परियोजना का सर्वेक्षण पूर्ण हो चुका है और शीघ्र ही रेल लाइन का निर्माण कार्य प्रारंभ हो जाएगा। इसके माध्यम से चंपावत, पिथौरागढ़ और बागेश्वर जनपदों में विकास की नई संभावनाएँ साकार होंगी।
इस अवसर पर केंद्रीय राज्यमंत्री अजय टम्टा, विधायक पार्वती दास, जिलाधिकारी आशीष भटगांई ब्लॉक प्रशासक हेमा बिष्ट, एसपी चंद्रशेखर आर. घोड़के, सीडीओ आर.सी. तिवारी, एडीएम ए.एस नबियाल, एसडीएम जितेंद्र वर्मा एवं अन्य लोग मौजूद रहे।
