नेदुमनगड ब्लॉक पंचायत की एक अभिनव परियोजना, मोबाइल खाद प्रसंस्करण इकाई, कृषि के क्षेत्र में केरल के लिए एक मॉडल बना रही है। यह परियोजना, जो डेयरी विकास क्षेत्र और कृषि क्षेत्र की क्षमता का उपयोग करती है, डेयरी किसानों के लिए आय सृजन करने वाली है और अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन में भी सहायक है।
मोबाइल गोबर प्रसंस्करण इकाई, जो ब्लॉक पंचायत सीमा के भीतर डेयरी किसानों के घरों तक सीधे आएगी, गोबर को गोबर के गड्ढे से एकत्र करेगी, उसे सुखाएगी, उसका प्रसंस्करण करेगी और उसे वाहन में एकत्र करेगी। एकत्रित गोबर के प्रति किलोग्राम के हिसाब से किसान को एक निश्चित राशि का भुगतान किया जाएगा। गोबर हटाने के बाद, शेष बचे गौमूत्र और घोल को विशेष रूप से सुसज्जित वैन में एकत्र किया जाएगा।
संसाधित गाय के गोबर को नेदुमनगड ब्लॉक के जैविक गांव में ले जाया जाएगा, जहां इसकी गुणवत्ता बढ़ाई जाएगी और मूल्यवर्धित उत्पादों में परिवर्तित किया जाएगा तथा कृषि कल्याण विभाग और डेयरी संघों जैसी एजेंसियों के माध्यम से वितरित किया जाएगा। गौमूत्र और गोबर को कृषि भूमि पर छोड़ा जाएगा तथा मांगने वाले किसानों को उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा।
इस परियोजना को 40 लाख रुपये की लागत से क्रियान्वित किया गया, जिसमें 23 लाख रुपये परियोजना आवंटन के रूप में और 17 लाख रुपये जैविक गांव लाभार्थी आवंटन के रूप में शामिल थे, जिसे नेदुमनगड ब्लॉक पंचायत की वार्षिक योजना में शामिल किया गया था। इस परियोजना को गोबर और मूत्र का स्रोत पर ही उपचार करने, वैज्ञानिक तरीके से अपशिष्ट निपटान सुनिश्चित करने, जैविक खाद के माध्यम से अतिरिक्त आय उत्पन्न करने, रासायनिक खादों के उपयोग को कम करने और युवाओं में खेती के प्रति रुचि बढ़ाने के उद्देश्यों के साथ तैयार किया गया है।
परियोजना के संबंध में किसानों और अन्य श्रमिकों को विशेष प्रशिक्षण दिया गया है। इकाई के संचालन के एक महीने के भीतर, 20 डेयरी किसान प्रसंस्करण इकाई के लाभार्थी बन गए। नेदुमनगड ब्लॉक पंचायत अध्यक्ष वी. ने कहा कि यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो ब्लॉक सीमा के बाहर मोबाइल गोबर प्रसंस्करण इकाई की सेवा प्रदान की जाएगी। अम्बिली ने स्पष्ट किया।
