मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविन्द्र सिंह सुक्खू ने ऊर्जा विभाग की उच्च स्तरीय समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए अधिकारियों को किन्नौर जिला में सतलुज नदी पर निर्माणाधीन 450 मेगावाट क्षमता वाली शोंगटोंग-कड़छम जलविद्युत परियोजना के निर्माण कार्य को गति प्रदान करने के निर्देश दिए ताकि इस परियोजना को मार्चदृअप्रैल 2027 तक चालू किया जा सके।
उन्होंने कहा कि परियोजना के पावर हाउस का लगभग 80 प्रतिशत निर्माण कार्य पूरा हो चुका है। वर्तमान मानसून के दौरान भी बांध का निर्माण कार्य जारी रहेगा। इसके लिए सतलुज नदी के जल प्रवाह को चार और पांच गेट से मोड़ा जाएगा, जबकि गेट (डायवर्जन बे) 1, 2 और 3 पर समानांतर रूप से कार्य जारी रहेगा।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि वर्तमान राज्य सरकार हिमाचल प्रदेश की स्वच्छ ऊर्जा अवसंरचना को सुदृढ़ करने और सतत् विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह परियोजना राज्य की बिजली उत्पादन क्षमता में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि के साथ-साथ ऊर्जा क्षेत्र में आत्मनिर्भरता और पर्यावरण-अनुकूल विकास को भी गति प्रदान करेगी।
सुक्खू ने कहा कि कई तकनीकी एवं भौगोलिक चुनौतियों के बावजूद राज्य सरकार निरंतर निगरानी और बेहतर परियोजना नियोजन के माध्यम से इस परियोजना का निर्माण सुनिश्चित कर रही है। निर्माण कार्य की गति बनाए रखने के लिए भौगोलिक स्थिति के अनुरूप तकनीकी उपाय नियमित रूप से अपनाए जा रहे हैं, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप परियोजना का 80 प्रतिशत से अधिक कार्य पूरा हो चुका है।
परियोजना के पूर्ण होने पर इससे प्रतिवर्ष लगभग 1,579 मिलियन यूनिट बिजली उत्पादन होने की संभावना है। इससे राज्य की ऊर्जा क्षमता में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि होगी तथा ग्रिड की स्थिरता सुदृढ़ होगी। इस परियोजना से राज्य की अर्थव्यवस्था को प्रतिवर्ष लगभग 900 करोड़ रुपये का योगदान मिलने का अनुमान है।
बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री के प्रधान सलाहकार राम सुभग सिंह, अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव आर.डी. नज़ीम, मुख्यमंत्री के सचिव राकेश कंवर, हिमाचल प्रदेश पावर कॉर्पाेरेशन लिमिटेड के प्रबंध निदेशक आबिद हुसैन सादिक तथा अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
