प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने गुरुवार को मुंबई के जियो वर्ल्ड कन्वेंशन सेंटर में पहले विश्व श्रव्य-दृश्य मनोरंजन शिखर सम्मेलन (वेव्स) 2025 का उद्घाटन किया। यही नहीं, इस दौरान पीएम मोदी ने भारतीय सिनेमा की 5 दिग्गज हस्तियों: गुरु दत्त, पी. भानुमति, राज खोसला, ऋत्विक घटक और सलिल चौधरी पर स्मारक डाक टिकट भी लॉन्च किया। बताना चाहेंगे भारत आज से इस चार दिवसीय सम्मेलन की मेजबानी कर रहा है।
यह समारोह ऑडियो विजुअल और मनोरंजन उद्योग के भविष्य पर चर्चा के लिए वैश्विक मंच उपलब्ध कराएगा। सम्मेलन की थीम है ‘कनेक्टिंग क्रियेटर्स, कनेक्टिंग कंट्रीज’। सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य भारत को मीडिया, मनोरंजन और डिजिटल नवाचार के वैश्विक केंद्र के रूप में स्थापित करना है। इसमें फिल्मों, ओटीटी, गेमिंग, कॉमिक्स, डिजिटल मीडिया, आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस, प्रसारण और उभरती तकनीक को साथ लाकर इस क्षेत्र में भारत की क्षमता का प्रदर्शन करना शामिल है।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान पीएम मोदी ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि आज यहां मुंबई में 100 से अधिक देशों के कलाकार, निवेशक और नीति निर्माता एक साथ एक ही छत के नीचे एकत्र हुए हैं। एक तरह से आज यहां वैश्विक प्रतिभा और वैश्विक रचनात्मकता के एक ईको-सिस्टम की नींव रखी जा रही है।
पीएम मोदी ने आगे कहा- वर्ल्ड ऑडियो विजुअल और एंटरटेनमेंट समिट यानी वेव्स.. ये सिर्फ एक ऐक्रोनिम नहीं है। ये एक वेव है- संस्कृति की, रचनात्मकता की। वेव्स एक ऐसा वैश्विक मंच है, जो आप जैसे हर कलाकार, हर निर्माता का है। जहां हर कलाकार, हर युवा एक नई योजना के साथ रचनात्मक दुनिया के साथ जुड़ेगा। आज 1 मई है। आज से 112 साल पहले 3 मई, 1913 को भारत में पहली फीचर फिल्म राजा हरिश्चंद्र रिलीज हुई थी, इसके निर्माता दादासाहेब फाल्के जी थे और कल ही उनकी जन्म जयंती थी। बीती एक सदी में भारतीय सिनेमा ने भारत को दुनिया के कोने-कोने में ले जाने में सफलता पाई है।
उन्होंने कहा- आज वेव्स में इस मंच पर हमने भारतीय सिनेमा के अनेक दिग्गजों को डाक टिकट के माध्यम से याद किया है। बीते वर्षों में मैं कभी गेमिंग वर्ल्ड, कभी म्यूजिक की दुनिया के लोगों से, फिल्म मेकर्स से मिला, कभी स्क्रीन पर चमकने वाले चेहरों से मिला। इन चर्चाओं में अक्सर भारत की रचनात्मकता, सृजनात्मक क्षमता और वैश्विक सहयोग की बातें उठती थीं। लाल किले से मैंने ‘सबका प्रयास’ की बात कही है। आज मेरा ये विश्वास और पक्का हो गया है कि आप सभी का प्रयास आने वाले वर्षों में वेव्स को नई ऊंचाई देगा।
