17 मार्च को एक खास घटना में, पठानकोट हेडक्वार्टर में पोस्टेड टिकट चेकिंग स्टाफ मेंबर संदीप कुमार ने नरवाना स्टेशन के पास दो मोबाइल चोरों को पकड़ा। आरोपियों को ट्रेन नंबर 14035 (धौलाधार एक्सप्रेस) के कोच S-1 में एक पैसेंजर का मोबाइल फ़ोन चुराने की कोशिश करते हुए रंगे हाथों पकड़ा गया। तेज़ी से एक्शन लेते हुए, उन्होंने उन्हें आगे की लीगल एक्शन के लिए ट्रेन में मौजूद रेलवे प्रोटेक्शन फ़ोर्स (RPF) के जवानों को सौंप दिया। बाद में पैसेंजर ने स्टाफ की अलर्टनेस और बहादुरी के लिए शुक्रिया अदा किया और उनकी तारीफ़ की।
एक और मामले में, ट्रेन नंबर 14803 के टिकट चेकिंग स्टाफ ने कोच B-2 में सफर कर रहे एक पैसेंजर का खोया हुआ मोबाइल फोन ढूंढकर उसे वापस कर दिया। पैसेंजर ने स्टाफ को समय पर मदद और ईमानदारी के लिए धन्यवाद दिया।
अधिकारियों ने बताया कि डिविजनल रेलवे मैनेजर और सीनियर डिविजनल कमर्शियल मैनेजर की लीडरशिप में, जम्मू डिविजन का कमर्शियल डिपार्टमेंट न सिर्फ रेवेन्यू जेनरेट करने में बल्कि पैसेंजर सेफ्टी और भरोसे को मजबूत करने में भी अहम भूमिका निभा रहा है। कोशिशों की तारीफ करते हुए, उचित सिंघल ने स्टाफ के डेडिकेशन और प्रोफेशनलिज्म की तारीफ की। उन्होंने उम्मीद जताई कि वे इसी कमिटमेंट के साथ काम करते रहेंगे, और कहा कि ऐसे काम रेलवे सिस्टम में दूसरों के लिए एक इंस्पायरिंग मिसाल कायम करते हैं।
नवरात्रि की भीड़ के लिए रेलवे ने एक्स्ट्रा स्लीपर कोच जोड़ा
जम्मू: आने वाले नवरात्रि त्योहार के दौरान माता वैष्णो देवी के दर्शन के लिए आने वाले भक्तों की भारी भीड़ को देखते हुए, नॉर्दर्न रेलवे के जम्मू डिवीजन ने ट्रेन नंबर 13151/13152 (कोलकाता–जम्मू तवी–कोलकाता एक्सप्रेस) में एक एक्स्ट्रा स्लीपर कोच जोड़ने का फैसला किया है।
यह सुविधा 20 मार्च से 02 अप्रैल तक उपलब्ध रहेगी, जिसका मकसद त्योहारों के दौरान यात्रियों की बढ़ती संख्या को ध्यान में रखना है। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि इस कदम से उन यात्रियों के लिए टिकट कन्फर्म होने की संभावना काफी बढ़ जाएगी जिनकी अभी लंबी वेटिंग लिस्ट है।
एक्स्ट्रा स्लीपर कोच जुड़ने से, हर दिन लगभग 72 से 80 यात्रियों को कन्फर्म बर्थ मिलने की संभावना है, साथ ही मौजूदा कोचों में भीड़ भी कम होगी। इससे जम्मू जाने वाले यात्रियों के लिए ज़्यादा सुरक्षित, आसान और आरामदायक यात्रा पक्की होगी। नवरात्रि के दौरान ज़्यादा भीड़ को देखते हुए, इस कदम से भक्तों को बहुत ज़रूरी राहत मिलने की उम्मीद है, जिससे आखिरी समय में टिकट कैंसल होने से बचा जा सकेगा और यात्रा की व्यवस्था आसान हो जाएगी।
