केन्द्रीय गृह अमित शाह ने शुक्रवार को सीमा सुरक्षा बल (BSF) की लंकामूरा सीमा चौकी (BOP) का निरीक्षण किया और BSF के जवानों के साथ संवाद किया। केन्द्रीय गृह मंत्री ने विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर त्रिपुरा की राजधानी अगरतला में वृक्षारोपण अभियान के अंतर्गत अगर पौधे का रोपण किया।
इस अवसर पर त्रिपुरा के मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. माणिक साहा, केन्द्रीय गृह सचिव, निदेशक, आसूचना ब्यूरो, सचिव, सीमा प्रबंधन और महानिदेशक, सीमा सुरक्षा बल सहित अनेक गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित थे।
इस अवसर पर अपने संबोधन में केन्द्रीय गृह एवं सहकारिता मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा कि आज वृक्षारोपण का कार्यक्रम भी यहां हुआ है। 2019 से लेकर आज तक हमारे सभी केन्द्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों (CAPFs) के जवानों ने लगभग 7.5 करोड़ से अधिक वृक्ष लगाने का काम किया है। इस वर्ष 40 लाख से 60 लाख वृक्ष लगाएंगे और लगाए हुए वृक्षों में से जो वृक्ष जीवित नहीं रह सके, उन सभी वृक्षों को दोबारा लगाने का काम किया जाएगा। अगले वर्ष CAPFs के जवान 2 करोड़ वृक्ष लगाने का काम करेंगे, जिससे पर्यावरण और देश की सेवा होगी।
अमित शाह ने विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर पर्यावरण संरक्षण के महत्त्व और उस दिशा में मोदी सरकार के कार्यों पर भी प्रकाश डाला। शाह ने कहा कि ओजोन की परत ही सूर्य की किरणों को मानव और अन्य जीवों के लायक बनाती है। उन्होंने कहा कि इसे बचाने का एकमात्र उपाय वृक्षों की संख्या को बढ़ाना है।
