भारतीय नौसेना नौकायन पोत तारिणी 04 मार्च 25 को स्थानीय समयानुसार लगभग 0910 बजे (+3) केप टाउन की अपनी आगे की यात्रा के लिए स्टेनली से रवाना हुई।
INSV Tarini 18 फरवरी 24 को नाविका सागर परिक्रमा II अभियान के अपने दूसरे चरण को पूरा करते हुए पोर्ट स्टेनली पहुंची थी। यह ऐतिहासिक परिक्रमा भारतीय नौसेना की दो महिला अधिकारियों, लेफ्टिनेंट कमांडर दिलना के और लेफ्टिनेंट कमांडर रूपा ए के दल द्वारा की जा रही है, जो समुद्री अन्वेषण में भारत की बढ़ती ताकत का प्रतीक है।
इस प्रवास के दौरान तारिणी दल ने ड्रेक के मार्ग से गुजरते समय अपने सबसे खतरनाक चरण के दौरान हुई खामियों को दूर करने के लिए नाव की मरम्मत और रखरखाव का काम किया।
INSV Tarini में आगंतुकों का भी तांता लगा रहा, जिसमें भारतीय प्रवासी, स्थानीय उत्साही और पर्यटक शामिल थे, जिन्होंने पोत का दौरा किया और दल के चुनौतीपूर्ण अनुभवों और प्रभावशाली उपलब्धियों से चकित होकर वापस लौटे।
