उत्तराखंड के रुद्रप्रयाग निवासी बेटी लेफ्टिनेंट शेवता सजवाण की उपलब्धि पर गढ़वाल हितैषिणी सभा की ओर से गढ़वाल भवन, नई दिल्ली में वीर चंद्र सिंह गढ़वाली प्रतिभावान छात्र सम्मान समारोह 2026 आयोजित किया गया। इस दौरान लेफ्टिनेंट शेवता सजवाण को उनकी उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धि के लिए सम्मानित किया गया। व्यस्तता के कारण उनकी माता उषा सजवाण पिता देवेन्द्र सिंह सजवाण जो की गढवाल भवन के काय॔कारणी सदस्य भी है ने बेटी की ओर से सम्मान ग्रहण किया।
सम्मान समारोह में समाजसेवी महावीर राणा सहित गढ़वाल हितैषिणी सभा के आजीवन सदस्य, कार्यकारिणी के पदाधिकारी और महिला कार्यकारिणी की सदस्य मौजूद रहीं। कार्यक्रम में निर्मल कोटनाला, रेनु उनियाल, सीमा गुसाईं तथा देवेन्द्र जोशी सहित अन्य सदस्यों और समाज के लोगों ने लेफ्टिनेंट शेवता सजवाण की उपलब्धि पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए उन्हें बधाई दी।
वक्ताओं ने कहा कि शेवता सजवाण की सफलता उत्तराखंड की बेटियों के लिए प्रेरणादायी है। उन्होंने अपने परिश्रम और लगन से परिवार और समाज का गौरव बढ़ाया है। समारोह में उपस्थित लोगों ने उनके उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना करते हुए कहा कि बेटियों की ऐसी उपलब्धियां अन्य युवतियों को भी शिक्षा और सेवा के क्षेत्र में आगे बढ़ने के लिए प्रेरित करती हैं।
