सेल की गुवा लौह अयस्क खदान में मैन पावर की भारी कमी की वजह से 11 मई से हीं उत्पादन कार्य लगभग पूरी तरह से ठप हो गया है। जबकि लौह अयस्क की ढुलाई कार्य पर असर नहीं पडा़ है।
विश्वस्त सूत्रों से मिली जानकारी अनुसार 13 मई को सिंहभूम संसदीय सीट पर मतदान होना है। इस मतदान को सफलता पूर्वक सम्पन्न कराने हेतु सैकड़ों की संख्या में गुवा के सेलकर्मियों को चुनाव कार्य में लगाया गया है। चुनाव कार्य में सेलकर्मियों के चले जाने की वजह से खदान का उत्पादन लगभग पूरी तरह से ठप हो गया है।
खदान में पहले से उत्पादित लौह अयस्क का स्टॉक को उठाकर डिस्पैच कार्य किया जा रहा है ताकि स्टील प्लांट पर इसका असर नहीं पडे़। ऐसी ही स्थिति सेल की किरीबुरु एवं मेघाहातुबुरु प्रबंधन का भी है।
लेकिन यहाँ पर प्रबंधन ने चुनाव ड्यूटी से वंचित सेलकर्मियों को दो पाली में ड्यूटी करने का निर्देश जारी किया है ताकि इस संकट अथवा समस्या से काफी हद तक मुक्ति पाया जा सके। इस मामले में सेल के अधिकारी कुछ भी बताने से इन्कार कर रहे हैं।
