मुख्य सचिव राधा रतूड़ी ने सचिवालय में सभी सम्बन्धित विभागों के साथ अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय प्रवासी उत्तराखण्डी सम्मेलन की तैयारियों की समीक्षा बैठक की। बैठक में उद्योग विभाग, पर्यटन विभाग, कौशल विकास विभाग, कृषि एवं उद्यान तथा अन्य सम्बंधित विभागों द्वारा सम्मेलन के दौरान आयोजित किए जाने वाले सत्रों की जानकारी दी गई।
मुख्य सचिव ने अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय प्रवासी उत्तराखण्डी सम्मेलन के आयोजन के दौरान राज्य की लोक संस्कृति, खानपान, स्थानीय हस्तशिल्प, उत्पादों के बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन के निर्देश दिए।
उन्होंने जिला प्रशासन को सम्मेलन के आयोजन के दौरान शहर एवं आयोजन स्थल की स्वच्छता, पार्किंग व्यवस्था, विदेश से आने वाले प्रवासी अतिथियों के स्वागत-सत्कार हेतु सम्पर्क अधिकारियों, परिवहन, प्रोटोकाॅल, रहने, ट्रैफिक की पुख्ता व्यवस्था के भी निर्देश दिए।
बैठक में जानकारी दी गई कि अभी तक 17 देशों से 60 प्रवासियों द्वारा सम्मेलन हेतु पंजीकरण करवाया गया है। जिसमें सर्वाधिक यूएई से 19, जापान से 10, न्यूजीलैण्ड से 3, सिंगापुर से 4, कनाडा से 2, चीन से 2, यूनाईटेड किंगडम से 2, इण्डोनेशिया से 2, अमेरिका से 2, वियतनाम से 2, ओमान से 2 जर्मनी से 1, आयरलैण्ड से 1, मलेशिया से 1, नाइजीरिया से 1 तथा थाईलैण्ड से 1 प्रवासी सम्मिलित हैं।
अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय प्रवासी उत्तराखण्डी सम्मेलन में उद्योग विभाग द्वारा उत्तराखण्ड में विभिन्न क्षेत्रों (मैन्यूफैक्चरिंग, पावर तथा स्टार्ट अप) में निवेश की संभावनाओं विषय, पर्यटन विभाग द्वारा हाॅस्पिटेलिटी एण्ड वेलनेस विषय, कौशल विकास विभाग द्वारा कौशल विकास, विदेश में रोजगार के अवसर तथा उच्च शिक्षा तथा कृषि विभाग द्वारा हाॅर्टीकल्चर, हर्बल मेडिसिन तथा ऐरोमेटिक पौधों पर सत्र आयोजित किए जाएंगे।
इस दौरान बैठक में सचिव आर मीनाक्षी सुन्दरम, शैलेश बगौली, विनोद कुमार सुमन, डीजी सूचना बंशीधर तिवारी सहित सभी सम्बन्धित विभागों के सचिव, अपर सचिव एवं विभागीय अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।
