मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मुख्यमंत्री आवास में उच्च स्तरीय बैठक के दौरान अधिकारियों को सख्त निर्देश दिये कि राज्य में कानून व्यवस्था का उल्लंघन करने वालों पर कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाए। मुख्यमंत्री ने नैनीताल में नाबालिग पीड़िता के साथ हुई घटना में अपराधियों पर कड़ी कार्रवाई के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने जिला प्रशासन नैनीताल को निर्देश दिए कि पीड़िता की देखभाल एवं उनके परिवार को पूरी सुरक्षा मुहैया कराई जाए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार पीड़िता और उसके परिवार के साथ मजबूती से खड़ी है। मुख्यमंत्री ने अधिकारियों को सख्त निर्देश दिए है कि सोशल मीडिया और अन्य माध्यमों से भ्रामक जानकारियां देने और अफ़वाह फैलाने वालों की तत्काल पहचान कर उनके विरुद्ध कड़ी कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड की भूमि और राज्य की अस्मिता के साथ छेड़छाड़ बर्दाश्त नहीं की जाएगी। जो भी व्यक्ति या संगठन देवभूमि की एकता को तोड़ने का दुस्साहस करेगा, उसके खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य में श्रद्धालुओं और पर्यटकों की सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से पूरी सतर्कता बरती जाए। सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में किसी भी प्रकार की लापरवाही बर्दाश्त नहीं की जायेगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने किरायेदारों के सत्यापन, रेहड़ी-पटरी वालों, अवैध तरीके से भूमि पर कब्जा करने वालों और जिन लोगों के अवैध तरीके से प्रमाण पत्र बने हैं, उन पर की गई कार्रवाई की समस्त रिपोर्ट जिलाधिकारियों को तीन दिन में प्रस्तुत करने के निर्देश दिए।
इस दौरान बैठक में मुख्य सचिव आनंद बर्द्धन, डीजीपी दीपम सेठ, प्रमुख सचिव आर.के. सुधांशु, आर. मीनाक्षी सुंदरम, अपर पुलिस महानिदेशक वी. मुरूगेशन, ए.पी. अंशुमान, अपर सचिव गृह निवेदिता कुकरेती, वर्चुअल माध्यम से आयुक्त कुमाऊं दीपक रावत, आईजी कुमांऊ रिद्धिम अग्रवाल, जिलाधिकारी नैनीताल वंदना, जिलाधिकारी ऊधम सिंह नगर नितिन भदौरिया, एसएसपी नैनीताल पी.एन.मीणा और एसएसपी ऊधम सिंह नगर मणिकांत मिश्रा मौजूद रहे।
