डीजी बीएसएफ प्रवीण कुमार, आईपीएस ने 11 से 14 जुलाई 2026 तक गहरे सुंदरबन डेल्टा और आस-पास के क्षेत्रों में भारत-बांग्लादेश सीमा के साथ अत्यधिक संवेदनशील तटीय क्षेत्रों का दौरा किया। उन्होंने सीमा सुरक्षा ग्रिड और चल रहे बाड़ लगाने के कार्यों के अलावा क्षेत्र में तैनात सैनिकों की परिचालन तैयारियों की समीक्षा की।
