19वें मुंबई अंतरराष्ट्रीय फ़िल्म महोत्सव में हिंदी लघु फ़िल्म गुदगुदी का शुक्रवार (19 जून, 2026) को एशिया प्रीमियर हुआ। 21 मिनट की यह हिंदी लघु फ़िक्शन फ़िल्म मनीषा मकवाना के निर्देशन में बनी पहली फ़िल्म है। फ़िल्म के भव्य प्रीमियर पर एनएफडीसी ने निर्देशक, निर्माता हर्षवर्धन पटेल, मुख्य कलाकार एहसास चन्ना और हृदांश पारेख और अन्य क्रू मेंबर्स को सम्मानित किया।
फिल्म की भव्य स्क्रीनिंग से पहले, निर्देशक मनीषा मकवाना और निर्माता हर्षवर्धन पटेल ने फ़ेस्टिवल में मीडिया से बातचीत की और फ़िल्म के बनने, इसके विषयों और महोत्सव की यात्रा के बारे में जानकारी साझा की।
फिल्म के नाम गुदगुदी का महत्व बताते हुए मनीषा मकवाना ने कहा कि यह खुशी और उम्मीद की भावना का प्रतीक है। उन्होंने कहा, “फ़िल्म का समापन बच्चे के किरदार आरव के ये कहने के साथ होता है कि उसे अपने दिल में ‘गुदगुदी’ महसूस हो रही है। यही भावना कहानी के सार को दर्शाती है।” रेड कार्पेट पर निर्देशक मनीषा मकवाना ने कहा, “यह मेरे दिल के बहुत करीब है और मुझे उम्मीद है कि फ़िल्म देखने पर हर किसी को गुदगुदी का अहसास कराएगी।” इसके बाद इस लघु फ़िल्म की स्क्रीनिंग हुई।
यह फ़िल्म रितु नाम की एक युवा महिला की कहानी है, जो एक एम्यूज़मेंट पार्क में मैस्कॉट के तौर पर काम करती है। अपने काम को लेकर शर्मिंदगी और निजी ज़िम्मेदारियों के बोझ तले दबी रितु, अपनी अहमियत को लेकर उलझन में रहती है। आरव नाम के एक बच्चे के साथ बातचीत के बाद, वह अपनी ज़िंदगी और काम को एक नए नज़रिए से देखने लगती है। निर्देशक के मुताबिक, मैस्कॉट की पोशाक एक तरह के फ़िल्टर का काम करती है, जो रितु की असली भावनाओं और अंदरूनी संघर्षों को दुनिया से छिपाए रखती है।
गुदगुदी का मुख्य किरदार रितु सिर्फ एक व्यक्ति की कहानी नहीं है, बल्कि यह हर मध्यम वर्ग के बच्चे की कहानी है। आरव नाम का एक छोटा लड़का, जो उसकी पोशाक के पीछे छिपी रितु को देख पाता है, उसके साथ उसका शांत रिश्ता फिल्म का भावनात्मक केंद्र बन जाता है और धीरे-धीरे उसकी आवाज़ को वापस बाहर लाता है। निर्देशक की बारीकी ‘हाई-एंगल शॉट्स’ के इस्तेमाल में दिखती है, जो रितु की घटती हुई आत्म-छवि को दिखाते हैं, जबकि एक-दूसरे पर चढ़ते और अस्त-व्यस्त दृश्य उसके अंदर की उथल-पुथल को दर्शाते हैं। एक दिलचस्प बदलाव के तौर पर, आम तौर पर बिना आवाज़ वाला मैस्कॉट सिर्फ़ ‘वॉयसओवर’ में बोलता है, जिससे उसके बाहरी मुखौटे और निजी कमज़ोरी के बीच का फ़र्क और गहरा हो जाता है। आख़िरकार रितु, आरव के सामने अपना मैस्कॉट वाला सिर हटाती है, वही आरव जिसने उसे सच में देखा है, असलियत में भी और भावनात्मक रूप से भी। फ़िल्म एक खुले अंत के साथ ख़त्म होती है और दर्शकों को संदेश देती है कि वे अपनी गुदगुदी खोजें, जो उम्मीद और खुशी का प्रतीक है और उस खुशी को फिर से पाने के अपने-अपने नज़रिए को अपनाने का न्योता देती है। अंत में, फ़िल्म असल ज़िंदगी के मैस्कॉट्स की कड़ी मेहनत की तारीफ़ करते हुए उन्हें खास तौर पर धन्यवाद देती है।
गुदगुदी की स्क्रिप्ट को साहसी बताते हुए निर्देशक ने कहा कि इसकी कहानी उनके अपने निजी अनुभवों से प्रेरित है। उन्होंने कहा, “रितु और आरव का सफर दिखाता है कि कभी-कभी अपने भावनाओं के बोझ को उतार देना ठीक है। यह फ़िल्म दर्शकों में उम्मीद जगाती है और लोगों को अपने करीबियों से खुलकर बात करने के लिए प्रेरित करती है।” फ़िल्म के डायलॉग्स में गुजराती लहज़ा है, जिससे निर्देशक का निजी जुड़ाव भी इसमें झलकता है, जैसा कि उन्होंने कहा, यह फ़िल्म उनके अपने निजी अनुभवों पर आधारित है।
इस फ़िल्म की शूटिंग अहमदाबाद के बाल वाटिका पार्क में हुई थी और इसमें कई ऐसे सरल से पल और उसी वक्त किए गए सुधार शामिल हैं, जो शूटिंग के दौरान अपने-आप सामने आए। निर्देशक ने फ़िल्म के सबसे असरदार पल के तौर पर उस सीन का ज़िक्र किया, जिसमें रितु आखिरकार अपनी ज़िंदगी को जैसा है, वैसा ही अपना लेती है और आज़ादी का एहसास करती है।
फ़िल्म के मुख्य संदेश पर बात करते हुए निर्माता हर्ष पटेल ने लोगों से अपने अंदर की दुनिया पर ध्यान देने को कहा। उन्होंने कहा, “लोगों को भरोसेमंद दोस्तों और परिवार के सदस्यों से खुलकर बात करनी चाहिए। भावनात्मक तौर पर स्वस्थ होने की शुरुआत ईमानदार बातचीत से होती है।”
लीड रोल के लिए अभिनेत्री एहसास चन्ना को लेने पर निर्देशक मनीषा मकवाना ने कहा कि स्क्रिप्ट उन्हें ही ध्यान में रखकर ही लिखी गई थी। उन्होंने कहा, “एहसास उन कलाकारों में से नहीं हैं, जो दिखावा करते हैं। कलाकारों को आमतौर पर अपना चेहरा दिखाना पसंद होता है, लेकिन इस फिल्म में उनका चेहरा ज़्यादातर समय एक मैस्कॉट मास्क के पीछे छिपा रहता है और सिर्फ़ कुछ मिनटों के लिए ही दिखाई देता है। शायद अपनी कला पर उनके भरोसे ने ही उन्हें यह रोल चुनने के लिए प्रेरित किया।”
निर्देशक ने बाल कलाकार हृदांश की कास्टिंग के बारे में भी बात की, जिन्हें कास्टिंग निर्देशक द्वारा उनके पिछले प्रोजेक्ट में किए गए काम से प्रभावित होने के बाद चुना गया था।
निर्देशक मनीषा मकवाना ने कहा कि ऑनलाइन और ऑफ़लाइन ज़िंदगी के बीच संतुलन बनाने के दबाव की वजह से मानसिक स्वास्थ्य से जुड़ी चुनौतियाँ बढ़ रही हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि यह फ़िल्म लोगों को सोचने-समझने, खुद को स्वीकार करने और भावनाओं को खुलकर ज़ाहिर करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करती है।
निर्देशक ने यह भी बताया कि उन्होंने पहले ‘स्त्री’ और ‘द फ़ैमिली मैन’ जैसे मशहूर प्रोजेक्ट्स पर काम किया है और सिनेमा जगत में फ़िल्ममेकर्स राज निदिमोरु और कृष्णा डी.के. (राज और डीके) को अपना गुरू मानती हैं।
लघु फिल्म गुदगुदी का पोस्टर
गुदगुदी को अंतरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म समारोहों में अच्छी प्रतिक्रिया मिल रही है। एमआईएफएफ 2026 में स्क्रीनिंग के अलावा, इस फ़िल्म को कान फ़िल्म फ़ेस्टिवल के शॉर्ट फ़िल्म कॉर्नर में भी दिखाया गया था। सच्ची कहानी कहने के महत्व पर ज़ोर देते हुए सुश्री मकवाना ने कहा, “ईमानदार कहानियों को हमेशा अपनी जगह मिल ही जाती है।”
निर्माता हर्ष पटेल ने बताया कि मेकर्स इस फिल्म को सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज़ करने की संभावनाओं पर विचार कर रहे हैं और सिनेमाघरों में दिखाने के लिए तीन-चार लघु फ़िल्मों को एक साथ पैकेज करने के बारे में सोच रहे हैं। निर्माता और निर्देशक ने बताया कि यह फ़िल्म अभी कुछ समय तक अलग-अलग फिल्म समारोहों में हिस्सा लेती रहेगी।
