नागालैंड के मुख्यमंत्री नेफ्यू रियो ने नागालैंड सौर मिशन का शुभारंभ किया। इसका उद्देश्य राज्य में आवासीय रूफटॉप सौर बिजली प्रणाली को अपनाने में तेजी लाना है। यह पहल प्रधानमंत्री सूर्यघर मुफ्त बिजली योजना के अनुरूप है।
इस योजना का उद्देश्य प्रत्येक घर में स्वच्छ ऊर्जा को अधिक किफायती और सुगम बनाना है। इस मिशन के उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम का आयोजन उपमुख्यमंत्री वाई. पैटन, विद्युत मंत्री के.जी. केन्ये, मुख्य सचिव जे. आलम और राज्य के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की उपस्थिति में कोहिमा के सचिवालय मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय में किया गया था।
सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में मुख्यमंत्री रियो ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार राज्य को अतिरिक्त सब्सिडी देकर भारत सरकार की सब्सिडी को पूरक करेगी। इस योजना के अंतर्गत लाभार्थी दो किलोवॉट प्रणाली के लिए 96 प्रतिशत सब्सिडी और तीन किलोवॉट की प्रणाली के लिए 85 प्रतिशत की सब्सिडी प्राप्त करेंगे। इससे यहां के निवासियों के लिए सौर ऊर्जा प्रणाली अधिक किफायती होगी।
उन्होंने कहा कि वित्त वर्ष 2025-26 में इस मिशन के लिए 10 करोड़ रूपये का आवंटन किया गया है। श्री रियो ने कहा कि यह बिजली की लागत को कम करने और पर्यावरण संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देने तथा स्वच्छ ऊर्जा को आगे बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह पहल सतत और ऊर्जा सक्षम भविष्य निर्मित करने के प्रति राज्य सरकार की वचनबद्धता को दर्शाती है।
