DSC A24, पांच डाइविंग सपोर्ट क्राफ्ट (DSC) प्रोजेक्ट का पांचवां जहाज है, जिसे 01 अगस्त 2026 को टीटागढ़, कोलकाता (WB) में मिसेज कमल सिंह ने वाइस एडमिरल गुरचरण सिंह, चीफ ऑफ पर्सनल की मौजूदगी में लॉन्च किया। यह इवेंट पूरी नौसेना परंपराओं और शानदार रस्म के साथ किया गया, जिसमें इंडियन नेवी और मेसर्स टीटागढ़ रेल सिस्टम्स लिमिटेड (TRSL) के सीनियर अधिकारी मौजूद थे।
डाइविंग सपोर्ट क्राफ्ट का कंस्ट्रक्शन मेसर्स TRSL, कोलकाता कर रहा है। कैटामारन-हल फॉर्म और लगभग 300 से 400 टन की रेंज में डिस्प्लेसमेंट वाले ये जहाज बेहतर स्टेबिलिटी, बढ़ा हुआ डेक एरिया और बेहतर सी-कीपिंग खासियतें देते हैं, जो उन्हें डाइविंग ऑपरेशन करने के लिए सही बनाती हैं। इंडियन रजिस्टर ऑफ़ शिपिंग (IRS) के नेवल रूल्स और रेगुलेशंस के हिसाब से डिज़ाइन और बनाया गया है।
इन जहाजों के शामिल होने से, डाइविंग सपोर्ट, अंडरवाटर इंस्पेक्शन, सैल्वेज असिस्टेंस और कोस्टल ऑपरेशनल डिप्लॉयमेंट में इंडियन नेवी की काबिलियत बढ़ेगी। 70 परसेंट मेन और ऑक्सिलरी इक्विपमेंट देसी मैन्युफैक्चरर्स से लिए गए हैं, डाइविंग सपोर्ट क्राफ्ट भारत सरकार (GoI)/रक्षा मंत्रालय (MoD) के आत्मनिर्भर भारत और मेक इन इंडिया इनिशिएटिव के गर्वित फ्लैगबियरर हैं।
