12-13 अप्रैल 25 को रात भर चले अभियान में भारतीय तटरक्षक बल ने गुजरात ATS के साथ मिलकर समुद्र में खुफिया जानकारी के आधार पर मादक पदार्थ विरोधी अभियान चलाया। लगभग 1800 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य के 300 किलोग्राम से अधिक मादक पदार्थ जब्त किए गए। जब्त किए गए मादक पदार्थ मेथमफेटामाइन होने का संदेह है।
यह अभियान अंतर-एजेंसी समन्वय का एक आदर्श उदाहरण था, जिसमें गुजरात ATS से प्राप्त पुष्ट इनपुट के आधार पर, तटरक्षक क्षेत्र (पश्चिम) से एक ICG जहाज, जो उत्तर महाराष्ट्र/दक्षिण गुजरात क्षेत्र में बहु-मिशन तैनाती पर था, ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समुद्री सीमा रेखा के निकट एक ट्रांसशिपमेंट के प्रयास को रोक दिया, जिससे यह सफल अभियान चला।
ATS की विश्वसनीय खुफिया जानकारी के आधार पर, ICG जहाज ने घने अंधेरे के बावजूद एक संदिग्ध नाव की पहचान की। ICG जहाज के निकट आने का एहसास होने पर, संदिग्ध नाव ने आईएमबीएल की ओर भागने से पहले अपने मादक पदार्थों की खेप को समुद्र में फेंक दिया। सतर्क ICG जहाज ने संदिग्ध नाव का पीछा करते हुए फेंकी गई खेप को बरामद करने के लिए तुरंत अपनी समुद्री नाव तैनात की।
आईएमबीएल की निकटता और इसकी पहचान के समय ICG जहाज और नाव के बीच प्रारंभिक अलगाव ने अपराधी को थोड़े समय के भीतर आईएमबीएल पार करने से पहले अवरोधन से बचने में मदद की। क्रॉस ओवर के परिणामस्वरूप तीव्र पीछा समाप्त हो गया और ICG जहाज को संदिग्ध नाव को पकड़ने से रोक दिया गया। इस बीच, समुद्री नाव में ICG टीम ने कठिन रात की परिस्थितियों में गहन तलाशी के बाद, समुद्र में फेंकी गई बड़ी मात्रा में मादक पदार्थों को बरामद किया।
