पंजाब विजिलेंस ब्यूरो ने राज्य में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान के दौरान 9 जनवरी, 2025 नगर निगम पटियाला के असिस्टेंट टाउन प्लानर जसपाल सिंह और पटियाला के आर्किटेक्ट अनीश खन्ना को 50,000 रुपए की रिश्वत लेते गिरफ्तार किया है।
राज्य विजिलेंस ब्यूरो के प्रवक्ता ने यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि पटियाला जिले के पातड़ां निवासी अशोक कुमार की शिकायत के आधार पर उक्त आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। उन्होंने आगे बताया कि शिकायतकर्ता ने वीबी से संपर्क कर आरोप लगाया है कि आरोपी जसपाल सिंह शिकायतकर्ता के अस्पताल भवन का नक्शा पास करने के लिए उक्त निजी आर्किटेक्ट अनीश खन्ना के माध्यम से एक लाख रुपए की रिश्वत मांग रहा है।
शिकायतकर्ता ने बताया कि उक्त एटीपी ने आर्किटेक्ट के माध्यम से 50,000 रुपए पहले ही ले लिए हैं और बाकी रिश्वत की मांग कर रहा है। प्रवक्ता ने आगे बताया कि इस शिकायत की प्राथमिक जांच के बाद विजीलैंस ब्यूरो की टीम ने जाल बिछाया, जिसके दौरान आरोपी आर्किटेक्ट को दो सरकारी गवाहों की मौजूदगी में रिश्वत की दूसरी किश्त 50,000 रुपए लेते समय रंगे हाथों गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। इसके बाद आरोपी एटीपी को भी गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।
इस संबंध में विजीलैंस ब्यूरो के पटियाला रेंज के थाने में भ्रष्टाचार रोकथाम अधिनियम के अंतर्गत दोनों आरोपियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया गया है। आरोपियों को कल सक्षम अदालत में पेश किया जाएगा और इस मामले में आगे की जांच जारी है।
