दक्षिण पश्चिम हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में अपनी चल रही परिचालन तैनाती के हिस्से के रूप में, भारतीय नौसेना का एक स्टील्थ फ्रिगेट INS Teg 26 से 30 जून 2025 तक निर्धारित पोर्ट कॉल के लिए सेशेल्स के पोर्ट विक्टोरिया में प्रवेश कर चुका है। इस यात्रा का उद्देश्य समुद्री सुरक्षा सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना और भारत और सेशेल्स के बीच द्विपक्षीय रक्षा संबंधों को बढ़ाना है।
जहाज की यात्रा के दौरान नियोजित गतिविधियों में कमांडिंग ऑफिसर द्वारा सेशेल्स के वरिष्ठ सरकारी और सैन्य अधिकारियों से मुलाकात शामिल है, जिसमें रक्षा बलों के प्रमुख, सेशेल्स पीपुल्स डिफेंस फोर्सेज के चीफ ऑफ स्टाफ और सेशेल्स में भारत के उच्चायुक्त शामिल हैं।
जहाज पर एक औपचारिक बातचीत, जिसमें भारतीय नौसेना और SPDF के बीच सहयोगी जुड़ाव और आपसी सहयोग पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा, भारत से लाए गए रक्षा उपकरण और पुर्जे औपचारिक रूप से जहाज के कर्मचारियों द्वारा सौंपे जाएंगे।
सांस्कृतिक आउटरीच के हिस्से के रूप में, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस 2025 की थीम “एक पृथ्वी, एक स्वास्थ्य के लिए योग” के अनुरूप एक योग सत्र आयोजित किया जाएगा। इसमें SPDF के प्रतिभागी, भारतीय प्रवासी सदस्य और जहाज के चालक दल के सदस्य शामिल होंगे।
INS तेग पर एक सांस्कृतिक संध्या की भी योजना बनाई गई है, जिसमें HCI, सेशेल्स के रक्षा बलों के प्रमुख, SPDF के अधिकारी और अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति शामिल होंगे।
यह जहाज आगंतुकों के लिए भी खुला रहेगा, जिससे भारतीय नौसेना की भूमिका और क्षमताओं के बारे में अधिक समझ विकसित होगी।
जहाज से एक मार्चिंग टुकड़ी प्रसिद्ध भारतीय नौसेना बैंड के साथ 29 जून 2025 को सेशेल्स के 49वें राष्ट्रीय दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में एक परेड में भाग लेगी। परेड के दौरान जहाज के इंटीग्रल हेलीकॉप्टर द्वारा एक फ्लाईपास्ट भी किया जाएगा।
बंदरगाह पर यात्रा के समापन पर, INS TEG सेशेल्स तटरक्षक बल कर्मियों को लेकर रवाना होगा और 30 जून से 02 जुलाई 2025 तक एससीजी जहाज के साथ संयुक्त अनन्य आर्थिक क्षेत्र निगरानी करेगा। यह पहल वैश्विक साझा संसाधनों की सुरक्षा और अवैध, अप्रतिबंधित और अनियमित (आईयूयू) मछली पकड़ने से निपटने के प्रति भारत की प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि करती है।
पूरा होने पर, जहाज एससीजी कर्मियों को उतारने के बाद तैनाती के अगले चरण के लिए आगे बढ़ेगा। इस यात्रा का उद्देश्य दोनों देशों के बीच समुद्री सुरक्षा सहयोग और द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को मजबूत करना है।
